The National Executives of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday night held a caucus meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara were in attendance.
Others present at the meeting include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, APC National Chairman, John Oyegun, members of the cabinet and APC national working committee, governors and other party chieftains.
A national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was however conspicuously absent at the meeting.
Tinubu is heading a presidential reconciliation committee set up to reconcile aggrieved party members across the country. It had earlier been speculated that he may present his interim report at the meeting.
